EASY TACO LETTUCE WRAPS
I know that this recipe isn’t rocket science, but as my family and I try to eat a little healthier we are looking for ways to change up our Taco Tuesday every once in a while.
An easy way to do this is to replace your tortilla with a lettuce wrap for a low-carb version.
Obviously you can use any kind of meat here but I love taco seasoned beef because you really don’t feel like you’re missing out on anything.
Butter lettuce with vary in size but I had some pretty big leaves for my taco lettuce wraps.
Diced avocado to top.
Diced tomato too!
Of course, these are all about the toppings. For me, sour cream is NOT optional. Feel free to go wild with the toppings!
Not to mention, I’ve eaten like a whole Costco cake this past week so it’s time to pull back the reigns and get down to business!

Very healthy because your using lettuce instead of tortilla base. Only tip use dairy free cheese so everyone can have it.
Thank you!
You can make it even healthier by using low sodium taco seasoning. Better for your heart and blood pressure and you don’t miss the extra salt because of all the other flavors!
Thanks for your feedback Jan. Old el Paso does have a low sodium version.
I love tacos wrapped in lettuce! I’ve been doing this for more than 30 years, since I made a homemade version of a Vietnamese dish (similar to tacos) that called for lettuce! While the kids had taco shells, I had lettuce wraps. I’ve also used mayo instead of sour cream…just a little bit of a different taste. Love your site, too!
Sounds great! You were way ahead of your time!!
This is the kind of recipe I’ve been looking for the pull together some quick dinners this week, thank you!
