GARLIC MUSTARD SIRLOIN
I love September because it’s football season. Let me clarify. I love September because it’s the beginning of football season. Hopes are high, the potential is limitless. Win or lose, every team still has a chance at making it to the post season in September.
My husband plays for the Miami Dolphins and every Sunday after the game we come home and get our grill on. I usually have some appetizers for everyone to graze on while we heat up the grill.
My husband’s post game dinner request is always burgers or steaks because he loves his protein. He’s usually starving when he’s done playing so I have everything ready to go so we can eat right when we get home.
I used to shy away from the grill because I thought it was difficult. Now, I’m the grill master and it’s one of my favorite ways to cook beef because you just can’t beat the flavor that grilling adds.
What I love about top sirloin is that it’s a lean cut of meat that is affordable.
Did you know you can save money by purchasing a boneless roast and cutting it into steaks?
This Garlic Mustard Grilled Sirloin is so easy and tastes like it took forever to make. You can make the glaze ahead of time and then just brush it on while grilling. I like to keep the glaze simple to enhance the natural flavor of the beef but not completely overpower it.
I’ve found that for optimal flavor I like my steak cooked to medium (160 degrees) or medium rare (145 degrees). I have enough grilling experience that I can kind of eyeball the doneness of the steak, but you can also use a meat thermometer. Make sure you stick it in the center of the steak at its thickest part for an accurate temperature reading.
This Garlic Mustard Grilled Sirloin is great served with grilled veggies or a nice green salad. It’s such an easy and impressive meal that doesn’t break the bank!

Ooh Steph, who is your husband? Such a small world.
His name is Clark Hayes!
So I have a sister-in-law named Kristy Denney who also has a food blog. Did your husband know Brett (her husband) or my husband John?
Delicious!
