Marshmallow Treat Valentines
Oh how I love marshmallow treats! They don’t even have to be homemade. I’ll take them any way I can get them. For Valentine’s Day I decided to put together Marshmallow Treat Valentines for my kids to share with their friends and neighbors. I’m kinda hoping they want to give me one too!
I may earn commissions for purchases made through links on this post.
For this project I picked up a few boxes of Rice Krispie Treats from my local supermarket and gave them a little Valentine’s Day makeover.
Marshmallow Treat Valentines
Here’s what you’ll need to pull this simple treat off:
Marshmallow Treats (store bought or homemade)
1 Bag of White Chocolate Chips
Vegetable Oil
Festive Sprinkles
Gold Cupcake Sugar
Melt one bag of white chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl. I always start with doing 30-45 seconds in the microwave and then stirring. I do that just once. Each additional increment is about 10 seconds, then stir. Once I see that it’s really starting to melt I reduce my microwave increments to about 5-7 seconds each time. Once the chips are all melted I add 1/4-1/2 tsp of oil. This thins the chocolate out just a bit and makes it really smooth.
Next I took a butter spreader and spread the melted chocolate across the surface of each marshmallow treat. I added the sprinkles and gold cupcake sugar and allowed the chocolate on the treats to set in the fridge for about 10 minutes.
Lastly I put 2 treats in clear treat bags and secured it with raffia ribbon and an adorable “Have a Treat on Me, Valentine” gift tag. So stinkin cute, right?
I mean, who would not want to get something this cute on Valentine’s Day? You can download a whole sheet of gift tags down below. Remember, they are always FREE for PERSONAL USE.
I love creating DIY Valentines. Here’s a few of my favorites from my blog, all with free printables.
