GARLIC STEAK BITES
This easy meal gets made in my house at least twice a week for either a quick lunch or an easy dinner.
You can’t go wrong with a nice cut of beef and garlic butter sauce. These flavorful steak bites start with a handful of ingredients. Cooking steak doesn’t have to be intimidating or even on a grill.
It’s important to use a hot skillet to get a nice crust. The hot sear seals in the flavor and makes for juicy steaks. You can cook it in batches to make sure your bite size pieces aren’t overcrowded.
SEASONING
It’s important to season the steak well with salt and pepper or even steak seasoning.
WHAT CUT OF STEAK SHOULD I USE?
This is really up to you what the best steak is for this recipe. My favorite is beef tenderloin or filet mignon because it’s lean and super tender but it’s also the most expensive.
Another great choice would be a top sirloin steak because it’s cheaper and good quality for the price. A ribeye steak will have more fat. Tritip is good but tends to be a littler firmer.
GREAT SIDES TO SERVE THIS WITH
You can serve this with anything.
- GREEN BEANS
- ZUCCHINI NOODLES
- POTATOES
- BROCCOLI
- SIMPLE SIDE SALAD
- MASHED POTATOES
STORAGE
Store leftover steak bites in an airtight container in the fridge. Leftovers are best heated up in a skillet or microwave.

Garlic Butter Steak Bites
Ingredients
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt and pepper.
- Cook the pieces of steak for 1-2 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Try not to move the steak, cooking in a single layer, letting it get a good sear on one side while it cooks.
- Reduce heat to low and add the butter and garlic. Stir until melted then serve.
Got to say, I love the ease of this one! We have been in the habit of having the kids help pick recipes each weekend (it’s amazing how much more they’re willing to try when they have a hand it choosing), and this one was found by our daughter. It was by far one of the easiest recipes I’ve made and it was delicious. Thanks for listing something so simple on your site, we’ve come back for many more of your recipes since finding this one π
Thank you Sara!
I absolutely love how you handle negative comments.

Thanks Mary! Kill them with kindness is my motto.

Yes, absolutely. So they are at the bottom of each recipe card.
Thank you for this, Christy. Β I made it tonight and everyone Β at the table, from 2 to 74, loved it. It is not a Β complex recipe, Β but it is a technique I had never thought of, and it worked so Β and so blessedly easy! Β I doubled the meat but should have made more, because it was such a hit. Β If I don’t give it five stars, it is because I didn’t find the stars button!Β
Haha no worries. Glad you like it!
Delicious and easy and fast! Christy, thank you so much for sharing your recipes. Β
You’re welcome!
anyone looking at this recipe is interested in the carb count. where is it?
There are no carbs in steak or butter. The only carbs would be coming from garlic. It has about .9 net carbs per clove so 3.6 carbs for the whole recipe about.
What drew me was the green veggie in the picture, only to discover apparently it’s “parsley” (you garnished with green beans???) as there was no reference to the veggie whatsoever. Wth!?!?
Yes. You can add green beans or veggies to it if you want. The title of the recipe is garlic steak bites.
You actually classify this as a recipe?
