WHITE CHOCOLATE MACADAMIA COOKIES

We’ve been hitting it hard core over here trying to eat healthy…but today I had enough. I’m not a smoker but I imagine it’s like trying to quit smoking. I just felt so tense and uptight all today.

Seriously after I made these I took a bite and let out a long deep breath…much better. Got of it out of my system until I can’t. white chocolate macadamia nut dough

Macadamia nuts were on sale at the grocery store so that’s what inspired this cookie recipe. These are some of my favorite cookies with the best flavor.

Don’t be surprised if you don’t get actual cookies because the cookie dough balls taste unbelievable. Golden brown. Chewy. Moist. Salty. Sweet. Enough said. The best cookies ever with chunks of nuts and white chocolate throughout!

HOW TO MAKE MACADAMIA NUT COOKIES

  • Heat oven to 375 degrees F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl with the paddle attachment, cream butter, white sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy on medium speed (a hand mixer can also be used). Add the eggs and vanilla. Mix until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix on low speed until combined. Add the macadamia nuts and white chocolate chips. Stir until combined.
  • Using a medium scoop, scoop 2 tablespoons of dough for each cookie and place at least 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges of the cookies are just starting to brown.
  • Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to sit on the pan for a few minutes before removing to a wire rack. Press additional chocolate chips and nuts on top. Sprinkle with a little bit of sea salt. Store baked cookies in an airtight container.
