PEANUT BUTTER BLOSSOMS RECIPE

I know everyone has a version of this recipe but I wanted a place for the recipe for myself on this blog. These look familiar because they’re pretty much these Peanut Butter Cup Cookies in a different form. Same girl, different dress.

WHY ARE THEY CALLED PEANUT BUTTER BLOSSOMS?

Maybe because they look like a flower. The most delicious flower you’ve ever eaten. What I’ve learned from the many get togethers I’ve been to is that kids will always grab these first. Or these S’mores Cookies.

HOW TO MAKE PEANUT BUTTER BLOSSOMS?

The dough is very straight forward and uses easy, equal measuring cups. I’m not really sure how to explain that other than a recipe makes me really happy when I don’t have to use a billion measuring cups.

Roll your dough balls in sugar and make sure you give them room to spread.

The absolute biggest tip is to NOT overbake these. The cookies will continue to cook as they sit on the pan.

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Whisk together the flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder in a medium bowl; set aside.
  • Cream together the butter, sugar, peanut butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in the egg, and vanilla. Add the flour mixture; mix well. Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in white sugar. Place onto a parchment lined baking sheet two inches apart.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for about 8 minutes. Do not overbake! While cookies are baking make sure you unwrap your kisses because you will need to press them in right away. Remove from oven and immediately press a Hershey kiss into each cookie. Cool and carefully remove from pan.
