BACON CHEESEBURGER PIZZA
One night a week we have a designated family night. Sure we spend plenty, and I mean pleeenty of time together the other nights but on our family night we all know that it’s a night for us to spend together. No electronics, no distractions…just us.
Of course when you say you’re going to make cheeseburger pizza is for dinner, there aren’t any complaints. Making our own pizza, even better. While the pizza is baking or after we’ve eaten, we either watch a family movie or their latest obsession, playing Spoons.
INGREDIENTS
- GROUND BEEF
- RED ONION
- BACON
- PIZZA DOUGH – You could use a homemade dough or store bought dough.
- KETCHUP
- YELLOW MUSTARD
- MAYONNAISE
- DILL RELISH
- CHEDDAR CHEESE – You can use any cheese you want like mozzarella cheese or even American cheese. A combo of different cheeses would be great.
- DILL PICKLES
The sauce on this pizza is a mixture of ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, and relish. Wait, wait. Stay with me. I know that sounds odd, but it works. Regular pizza sauce is tomato based so ketchup isn’t that far off.
Believe me when I say that the ketchup-mustard pink sauce makes it. I’m not a huge pickle lover but relish in the sauce gives that pickle flavor without being overwhelming.
Spray your pizza pan with cooking spray or grease it. Press your pizza crust into a pizza pan or baking sheet. Even though it’s rectangular you can shape the dough into any size you want. Spread on the sauce and layer half of your cheese.
My favorite burger toppings: crispy bacon, cooked ground beef, and pickles on top if you like them. Of course, you could add lettuce to make it more like a cheeseburger but I don’t think lettuce belongs on a pizza.
And of course lots of cheese. Plenty of cheddar on top of the ground beef mixture to make it nice and gooey.
Isn’t she pretty?
My husband said it tastes just like bacon cheeseburger with a pizza crust for a bun.

You’re welcome!
This is an amazing pizza. It has become a family favorite. Thank you for sharing your recipe with us. 😊
Thank you!
I don’t know why someone have this recipe 1 star with a one word description. I’ve made it a few times and we love it!
Hopefully in their defense the rating thing is funky sometimes.
Dreadful.
I just made this and wanted to say it’s a hit! The only changes I made were: adding two minced garlic cloves to the onion/ground beef mixture and adding fresh jalapeno slices to the guys’ side of the pizza. Otherwise, I stuck to the recipe–right down to using Pillsbury pizza dough. It was fantastic. When I asked my twenty year-old brother how it was he came into the kitchen, hugged me and said, “This is awesome. Add it to the make-again list!” So, thank you!
Aww. That’s so sweet. I think garlic would be a great addition!!
I made this tonight and it was really good! Cheeseburger pizza was never something that really appealed to me before, but your version with the pickles made me want to try it. I’m so glad I did!
Yay! Glad you liked it!
So if I don’t own said “pizza pan” (college probz) would it be fine to bake this on a regular cookie sheet?
I make pizza all the time on a cookie sheet .
Yes Ashley, any pan will work. No worries.
My sister-in-law just told me about this super simple pizza crust recipe. I haven’t had a chance to try it yet, but she said it’s awesome! 1c plain Greek yogurt + 1c self rising flour.. Worth a try!
Sounds great!
One of the local pizza joints here makes a version of this! I thought it looked disgusting at first, but once I tried it, I was hooked! You totally have me craving this right now!
I didn’t realized Pillsbury did a pizza crust. We are huge Pillsbury lovers and this looks like a great use of their products. I think I might just have to give this burger pizza a try…and I am definitely adding pickles! The idea of pickles on pizza is just intriguing!
Looks soo delicious, cheeseburger pizza, this is something I will really like:)
