Honey and Pecan-Glazed Salmon

If you’re looking for an easy dinner that’s actually healthy, this easy salmon recipe is for you! Salmon is rich in nutrients and is supposed to improve brain function.

INGREDIENTS

The marinade is made with three simple ingredients:

  • Salmon – fresh salmon is always best but Costco sells frozen salmon filets that I like too. Wild salmon has a fishier taste but is also a healthy protein option.
  • Honey – just a few tablespoons honey add enough sweetness to this dish.
  • Soy Sauce
  • Pecans

Stir the marinade ingredients together in a small bowl.

salmon with pecans on top

Let the salmon marinate in the honey mixture for at least 15 minutes. Then, place salmon filets in the baking dish

CAN I USE THIS RECIPE WITH OTHER TYPES OF FISH?

This sweet honey glaze works well with all types of fish. Salmon, tilapia, swordfish, halibut, or snapper would be great in this recipe.

STORAGE

Store leftover salmon in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days.

This Pecan and Honey Glazed Salmon is so easy and so good. We eat this salmon at least once every two weeks.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes
Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 teaspoons finely chopped pecans
  • 1 Tablespoon soy sauce, (for gluten-free use gluten-free soy sauce)
  • 4 (6 oz ) salmon fillets
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • Combine honey, pecans, and soy sauce in a large zip-top bag. Sprinkle fish with salt and pepper; add to bag and seal. Marinate in refrigerator at least 15 minutes. I like to marinate mine all day so all that flavor gets infused.
  • Remove fish and nuts from bag, reserving marinade. Place fish on foil lined pan and top with nuts.
  • Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork, basting fish twice with remaining glaze while baking.
