Hi friends! It’s Diana from The Girl Creative! This year we are staying home for Thanksgiving. Normally when it’s just the 5 of us I don’t do anything spectacular. Of course I still cook up a ton of food but I have yet to go all out with themed desserts or even a nice table scape. I decided this year that I would try to go beyond the norm for my family and I knew that I couldn’t go wrong with cupcakes. My kids love cupcakes and candy corn so making these turkey cupcakes was a no brainer.
I could have just stopped with the cupcakes but since I love to design, I created a few Thanksgiving cupcake toppers to go with it. The great thing about cupcake toppers is that they also double as tags. So, if you will be a guest this year on Thanksgiving and want to bring your host a gift, these tags will come in super handy. Just punch a hole in the top and add some string and you are good to go!
To make these turkey cupcakes with toppers you need just a few things:
Cake Mix (I always go with Devil’s Food Cake)
Chocolate Icing
Candy Monster Eyes
Chocolate Sprinkles
Lollipop Sticks
Tape

Bake your cupcakes according to package instructions. Once cooled, frost them with chocolate frosting and dip into a bowl of chocolate sprinkles. Put 5 pieces of candy corn with the point down into the back of the cupcake in a semicircle. Add 2 monster eyes and one candy corn, point down, for the nose. So simple but incredibly cute! You can stop here if you want but adding cupcake toppers give it a little something extra!
If you are hosting an older crowd, you can still use the printable cupcake toppers . Leave out the candy corn and monster eyes and you still have a great treat to share with your guests.

They look so cute!
These are so adorable! I’m going to a dessert get together after dinner and these would be such a big hit with the kids!
